Library: St. Mary’s Parish library is a media resource center for our parish community. We strive to have the best books and non-print materials for the needs and concerns of contemporary Anglicans. There are approximately 1,200 books, CD’s and video recordings available.
Guest Speakers: Throughout the year St. Mary’s is host to various Christian Education conferences and courses. Keep your eyes open for brochures on specific events, or see the St. Mary's web site for events.
Centering prayer: Centering Prayer is a method designed to facilitate the development of contemplative prayer by preparing our faculties to cooperate with this gift. It is not meant to replace other kinds of prayer; it simply puts other kinds of prayer into a new and fuller perspective. During the time of prayer we consent to God's presence and action within. At
other times our attention moves outward to discover God's presence everywhere.Beginning January 10, 2006, a small group will meet to practice together from 7:30 - 8:00 AM on Tuesday mornings. Use the "alley" door on the west side of the building. Call Holly Cabell, 484-9024 with questions.
Confirmation: The service of Confirmation is once a year. A confirmation class covering the catechism takes place in the weeks leading up to the confirmation.
Covenant: The Covenant Program occurs primarily in small group discussion and is aimed at helping us see the relevance of the Scriptures in everyday life. The basic resource is the Sunday Scripture reading. Contemporary witnesses will be used to suggest different elements of covenant that are important in our relationship to God and to our neighbors.
