Members of St. Mary's serve the Diocese of Oregon as members of a variety of diocesan committees, commissions, and boards. Deacon Nancy Crawford is currently serving a three year term on Diocesan Council.  Sharon Rodgers serves on the Standing Committee and is President of Central Convocation.  Deacon Nancy Muhlheim is Diocesan Coordinator of the Church Periodical Club. In addition to the active involvement of our members in diocesan activities, St. Mary's hosts a variety of diocesan functions from Leadership Training Workshops to youth events.

Our denomination is organized on a diocesan basis. While there is no end to the ministries available to each of us here at St. Mary's, I urge you to remember that there is also ministry to be done at the diocesan level. If you have an interest in serving as a delegate from St. Mary's to Convocation and Convention, speak to a member of the vestry, since the vestry appoints the delegates not elected at our Annual Meeting. Delegates are expected to attend three Convocation meetings during the year, which are generally held at Good Samaritan, Corvallis, at 2:30 on Sunday afternoons in May, August, and October, as well as the Diocesan Convention itself which is held from Thursday evening through Saturday noon in mid-November.
