MISSIONARY TO MISSISSIPPI

Greetings and Peace, My Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

It has been an interesting and fruitful journey to return to Camp Coast Care. The relief efforts are beginning to wind down as we transition into the recovery period for the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The attention and resources are gradually shifting to support only those without economic viability. The need for safe shelter, food and clothing is still present, but isolated to a few towns along the coast. Resources will continue to be distributed on a case-by-case basis. This is to insure that folks begin to reinvest in the local economy and take the accountability on themselves for their long-term recovery. Camp Coast Care thanks all of you for your generous contributions for the outreach program that brought much needed blankets, propane, and heaters to those unable to come to our distribution center. Camp Coast Care has offered me a position as a Case Manager in the upcoming recovery phase of this effort. I am still in prayerful discernment about this offer. I appreciate all of the support in this Mission to Mississippi. Please keep us in your prayers as we continue to serve God's people in this area.

Faithfully, Angel L. Scott
