The 2024 Pledge Drive

Be Part of the Story

“You and countless others are part of the story of St. Mary’s. I am grateful for every part you play in the story.” - The Rev. Bingham Powell, Rector

Bright blue envelopes containing pledge packets are arriving in mailboxes in early October. You pledge of support will make a difference.

To reach our 2024 goal of $603,500, we are asking households to increase their pledge by an average of $5.50/week. This year’s increase reflects the realities of inflation and our growing commitment to children and youth ministries. We have hired an assistant rector to focus on children, youth, and families to do that and over the next three years we need to bring his salary fully into the regular budget.

No gift is too small or too large. We hope you will pledge an amount that is meaningful to you. A pledge is an estimate of what you expect you will be able to give to the church throughout the coming year. We welcome all gifts, but pledges truly help us craft an accurate budget. Prayerfully consider your 2024 pledge with an open and thankful heart.

Pledge today by mailing back the pledge card you received in your pledge packet, or set up a recurring electronic gift here through this secure payment site, or you can fill out the electronic version of our pledge card here.

Ways To Pledge

Make a one-time gift or set up a recurring gift using your bank account or credit card through our secure payment site accessible by clicking the “Give Now” button below. Or make a pledge for the year. What is a pledge? A pledge is an estimate of what you plan to give for the year. This is not a legal obligation. It is simply an estimate to guide our Budget Committee as they craft the annual budget.

Securities (Stocks, Bonds, etc.)

When you give securities (stocks, bonds, etc.) you not only receive a charitable deduction for their full fair market value, but also avoid tax on the capital gain for stocks held longer than one year.  Contact our Finance and Records Manager, Lana Johnson, at Lana@saint-marys.org or 541-343-9253 to let her know which securities you will be donating to St. Mary’s, and ensure that you get the full tax deduction.  Stocks must be transferred to Charles Schwab DTC #0164, account #7071-2882.  Usually it takes several days to complete this transfer, so don’t wait until the last minute.
