The Baptized Life

Exploring faith and practice through the Baptismal Covenant

More a conversation than a class, we will embark on a year-long exploration of faith through the lens of the questions of the baptismal covenant (the eight questions you find on pages 304-305 of The Book of Common Prayer). The goal is deepen our faith and grow closer to God and each other. We will explore faith generally and the way it is embodied in our particular lives.

On Baptism

In our baptisms, we join Jesus in his baptism. In our baptisms, we join Jesus in his death and resurrection. In our baptisms, we are adopted as Christ’s own forever. And just as a voice spoke from the heavens as Jesus came up from the Jordan, saying, "This is my son, the beloved, with whom I am well pleased," we can hear God's voice saying the same about us.
