Introducing
The Baptized Life
Exploring faith and practice through the Baptismal Covenant
More a conversation than a class, we will embark on a year-long exploration of faith through the lens of the questions of the baptismal covenant (the eight questions you find on pages 304-305 of The Book of Common Prayer). The goal is deepen our faith and grow closer to God and each other. We will explore faith generally and the way it is embodied in our particular lives
This is a monthly cohort-based course for eight months. You don’t have to commit to make every session, but this is not a drop-in-here-and-there gathering. This is a journey through the year that you are committing to for yourself and for others; it won’t work if you miss too many.
No previous knowledge is assumed; no particular level of belief is required. Whether you have been an active church member for decades or are newly exploring Christianity, this group is for you. This class is designed for those preparing themselves (or their kids) for baptism or confirmation, those who are unsure of their place in the church, those who are committed lay leaders looking to deepen their faith and understanding of their ministry, those full of questions, those unsure of what questions to even ask, and everything in between.
We will meet on 3rd Sundays, October - May, in the afternoon from 3:30-5pm at the church.
The dates of The Baptized Life will be October 18, November 15, December 20, January 17, February 21, March 21, April 18, and May 16.
Please reach out to Bingham+ if you are interested in joining or have any questions.
