The Tabernacle that sits on the altar in the chapel was carved in 1969 by Bea Pierson, a long-time member of St. Mary's. In 1962, she was named “Artist in Residence,” a volunteer position that she held for many years. Bea’s artistic talents extended into many areas: fiber arts, woodworking, visual arts, and bookbinding.
