Welcome to St. Mary's!

St. Mary's Episcopal Church has been here in downtown Eugene for over 150 years to worship, serve, and grow in faith. Guided by the teachings and life of Jesus Christ, we value community, inclusiveness, compassion, our living tradition, health, and collaborative leadership. Everyone is welcome to worship, serve, and grow in faith at St. Mary's, no matter what age, ethnicity or race, gender identity, sexual orientation or economic or social circumstances.

Whether you are looking for a new church home or looking for a place to worship while visiting Eugene, we hope that you join us for one of our five weekend services. Worship at St. Mary’s is diverse, from traditional to innovative, from quiet and meditative to noisy and energetic.

Festival of Lessons and Carols
Sunday, December 16 at 5 PM
Experience this festive holiday tradition with its rhythm of the reading of a lesson followed by the singing of a carol, as we follow the story of the coming of Christ. Enjoy the voices of the Liturgical Choir, the Russian Music Choir, and the Celebrations Intergenerational Choir. A party will follow the service, with sweet and savory treats, tea, and flaming plum pudding!

Christmas Eve Services
There will be 30 minutes of music preceding each service.

5 PM Holy Eucharist and Nativity Play
Experience the joy of Christmas as we sing carols, delight in the children’s Nativity Play, and share Communion. While the service will be primarily in English, the bulletin will be bilingual and some elements of the service will be spoken in Spanish as this service combines elements of our 9:30 AM and 1:30 PM Sunday services.

9 PM Holy Eucharist, Rite I
Come and experience the stillness and majesty of this night.

11 PM Solemn High Eucharist, Rite II
Celebrate with us in wonder and exultation. This service includes the use of incense. There will be a coffee hour in the Guild Room prior to the start of the 11 PM service.

Christmas Day
10 AM Holy Eucharist, Rite II
Join us on Christmas morning to celebrate the tender joy of Jesus’ birth.
